For years, she had navigated the challenges of scoliosis, but it was this practice that unlocked unprecedented improvements in her spinal mobility, eased chronic back pain, and restored a sense of energetic harmony. She found that each session became more than just exercise—it was a joyful dialogue between body and mind, fostering clarity, balance, and renewed vitality.

Sohee first started her Pilates journey to overcome her chronic lower back pain as a fitness enthusiast and a competitive runner. Pilates helped her build a strong core and the lower back pain began to disappear. From there she fell in love with Pilates and began training to become a Pilates Instructor to help people with pain and injuries. In 2020, she became a Mat certified Instructor and got certified in Studio Apparatus in 2021 with Polestar Pilates. In March 2023, she became certified in classical pilates through Real Pilates and in December 2023, she got certified in 𝐆𝐘𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂®︎ Level 1.

Cathy is very enthusiastic about doing sports such as Pilates, GYM, long-distance running and sport climbing etc.. On the other hand, she has a keen interest in functional training. For that reason, she has become a Pilates instructor. Meanwhile, she holds a Master’s Degree in Sports Coaching and Management from The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). She believes each learner is unique and has different potential. Therefore, she utilizes an “individualized learning” approach by paying meticulous attention to spot and identify the body's ability of joints to move through its range of motion including strength training, endurance, flexibility, balance, coordination, self-body awareness and core stability etc.. to determine the appropriate exercise difficulty level in where learner is appropriately challenged and engaged.

Carmen is passionate about sports, especially rowing, hiking, cycling and water sports. She has been involved in professional rowing training for more than 20 years, however, she has experienced some injuries and difficulties during the sport. In order to heal her injuries and maintain her health, Carmen started learning Pilates. Pilates is an exercise based on body control, balance and breathing, and is very effective for strengthening the core and reshaping body posture and to gain more freedom in mobility.
Through learning Pilates, Carmen discovered that it can not only help with rehabilitation and injury, but also improve sports performance and quality of life. She deeply realized the importance of Pilates in preventing sports injuries, and began to spread this knowledge to those around her. people.
Carmen enjoys teaching Pilates and hopes to influence more people to learn Pilates, thereby improving their quality of life, avoiding injuries, and establishing healthy exercise habits. She believes that exercise is not just a physical endeavor, but it is also a nourishment for the soul that brings happiness, balance and health.
In addition to Pilates, she also has a passion for other sports. Rowing allows Carmen to enjoy the pleasure and challenge of rowing on the water, hiking allows her to be in contact with nature and experience both physical and mental relaxation, and cycling allows her to feel the wind blowing on her face and the feeling of freedom. These sports not only enriched her life, but also allowed her to experience physical, mental and spiritual growth.
